The Dooyewaard Stipendium Award
The Dooyewaard Stipendium Award is a Dutch art award for post academic talent development and has been awarded already 26 times to a young artist. In the past decade or so candidates have been selected from HKU Fine Arts graduates. The winner receives a monthly stipend and has the free use of our studio/house at the Fransepad for one year. It enables artists to further develop their work benefitting from the peace and quiet of free living and working space. It furthermore gives the winners a chance to bridge the gap between their college years and their future position in society as an independent artist by inviting galleries, collectors and an interested public to their studio.
