DOOYEWAARD STIPENDIUM AWARD

The Dooyewaard Stipendium Award is a Dutch art award for post academic talent development and has been awarded annually over the past 20 years to a young artist. In the past few years candidates have been selected from HKU Fine Arts graduates. The winner receives a monthly grant and has the free use of our studio/house at the Fransepad for one year. It enables artists to further develop their work benefitting from the peace and quiet of free living and working space. It furthermore gives the winners a chance to bridge the gap between their college years and their future position in society as an independent artist by inviting galleries, collectors and an interested public to their studio. The award period starts on October 1st. October 2016 we welcomed Liselot Veenendaal as winner of the 2016-17 Stipendium.
